11 Must-See Ultrabooks and Tablets From CES 2012

LAS VEGAS -- If you're coming to CES, bring a cool ultrabook or innovative tablet or don't bother stepping off the plane. They're the hottest things at the show.
Ultrabooks are poised to disrupt the traditional notebook space, and with good reason. They're thin, they're light, and they're loaded with panache, making traditional business notebooks and desktops look like relics. And since they use solid-state storage, ultrabooks boot up almost instantaneously, a feature that could convert critics who wonder why anyone would pay the big money these sleek, aesthetic dream machines command.
And then there are the tablets, which dare to challenge the Kindle Fire and almighty iPad. We're seeing tablets with Super AMOLED screens, lower prices and a bevy of form factors. Hell, we even found a waterproof tablet.
We expected to see a lot of quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 tablets, as well as tablets that run Ice Cream Sandwich. We were not disappointed.
One of the most interesting tablets we've run across is the ASUS MeMO 370T, which offers both those killer features in a 7-inch form factor for $250. We covered the 370T in our Nvidia report, but Asus' PR people dropped the ball on getting us a chance to photograph it so we haven't included it here.
Here are the 11 coolest ultrabooks and tablets we've seen at CES. Yes, there are a lot of Samsung products on the list, but they're killing it this year, and deserve the recognition.

Mumbai:Tech-savvy BJP uses Facebook to win BMC election 2012

Mumbai, Jan 13: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) always catches attention with its unique attempts of attracting youths of the country. The political party once again proved itself as a tech-savvy party as it has already started using one of the most popular social networking site - Facebook as one of its weapons to gather people's attention ahead of the BMC election 2012 in Mumbai.

To conduct social media training session, the BJP leaders in Mumbai began using Facebook and the party also asked netizens (those who spend a large fraction of their life online) to add points to its Election Manifesto.

Following the code of conduct given by the Election Commission (EC), which barred all political parties from outdoor advertisements, public proclamations and promises by political parties ahead of the BMC election 2012, BJP took the extra-ordinary step.

However, the EC allowed the political parties to use SMS, Newsletters and Social media promotions which inspired to BJP in starting Facebook as one of its latest and useful weapon.

"BJP has always been tech savy and as most of its workers/office bearers in Mumbai are active on Facebook it became a necessity to use it," said Atul Bhatkhalkar, the BJP General Secretary, Mumbai.

Here it can be mentioned that Mumbai has the highest number of Facebook users in India - 4 million + and it's increasing rapidly cutting across caste, class and community lines.

Citing the above mentioned information, it seems that BJP may fetch success during the upcoming success and the party reportedly has more than 60,000+ traceable BJP supporters on Facebook.

~ Windows 8 to offer Refresh and Reset your PC ~

Today, there are many different approaches and tools to get a PC back to factory condition. If you buy a PC with Windows preinstalled, it often comes with a manufacturer-provided tool and a hidden partition that can be used for that specific model of PC. You might also use a third-party imaging product, Windows system image backup, or the tried and true method of a clean reinstall from the Windows DVD. While these tools all provide similar functionalities, they don’t provide a consistent experience from one PC or technique to another. If you are the “go to” person for your friends, relatives, or neighbors when they need help with their PCs, you may find that it’s sometimes necessary to just start over and reinstall everything. Without a consistent experience to do this, you might end up spending more time finding the recovery tool for a specific PC than actually fixing the problems, and this gets even worse if you’re helping someone over the phone.

With Windows 8, there are a few key things that we set out to deliver:
• Provide a consistent experience to get the software on any Windows 8 PC back to a good and predictable state.
• Streamline the process so that getting a PC back to a good state with all the things customers care about can be done quickly instead of taking up the whole day.
• Make sure that customers don’t lose their data in the process.
• Provide a fully customizable approach for technical enthusiasts to do things their own way.

The blog post goes into further detail on how you can refresh, reset, restore apps, troubleshoot and more with screenshots of these functions.
